Hacking Strange DS lite problem.

So I got a DS lite off craigslist, and it has a weird problem.

-Works fine with offical game cartridges, 50% of the time. Sometimes just turns off pretty fast.
-Loads up R4 DS but then shuts off before a game can be fully loaded/you can do anything.

What have I done?
-Tested with it plugged into official wall adapter.
-Tested with known good battery. (also official)
-Opened and checked to see if they was any pins solder together on the cart connector (friend told me to check?)


So yeah WTF? I am going to let it charge overnight and test it but... Whats wrong with this thing?

Could be a problem with power usage.. I dont know much about the ds but it sounds like its a problam with power usage.. Just wait for some more replies to see what it really is..

maybe a fuse..?
i could be just totally wrong too...

yeah, possibly fuse, or even a cable leading to power..

I mean it works PERFECT sometimes... So like WTF?

I guess the fuse was just BARRRRRLY holding on, because it finally stopped working completely and I opened it to discover a EXPLODED fuse.
