Hardware Stock Lite only charging to 35%

Bought as "for parts". Seller said it would work while plugged in, and had replaced battery with non-OEM battery. When I recieved, it didn't boot beyond the first logo and the black charging screen. I opened and there was a small amount of what looked like water damage around the back side of the usb port. After cleaning with toothbrush and alcohol, it now boots normally, but stops charging at 35% (Known functional battery). It's been plugged in over 24Hr.
Any pointers? Which areas should I be testing?

I think it literally is being charged to 35%. The battery charge seems to be working ok..

Is the charging voltage around 4.2 volt?
If the voltage is lower than the 4.2 volt, your battery pack will not get charged beyond a certain charge,
The corrosion might be shorting some capacitor or mosfet that provides this voltage.
Those should be near the MT92.
