If you have an exploitable board (below XAJ4004) and system version higher than 3.X; so it's no different to update than just waiting, right?

I have sys 4.1.0, so I will need to wait for homebrew nonetheless. Is it different to wait in this version than the updated one?

Thank you for your time.

4.1.0 will likely receive an untethered browser exploit in the distant future. If you care about that and you are content with installing and using AutoRCM, I would recommend updating without burning any efuses by following this guide. This way, you will be able to downgrade back to 4.1.0 if you need it. Using AutoRCM, however, will cause your system to always coldboot into RCM. If you don't care about preserving a downgrade path to 4.1.0 because you don't care that much about the future browser exploit, you can go ahead and update to 5.1.0 normally.

It should also be noted that you can use homebrew on all system versions using RCM and Hekate.

4.1 will have warmboot so you should stay on it or update to 5.1 without burning fuses using this guide https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...nofficially-without-burning-any-fuses.507461/
