What is the difference between these two? I have version 3.2U, what would you recommend I get?
They're two totally different apps that do totally different functions. Try and find some answers for yourself before coming here. Once you do that people may answer your questions, but until that happens you won't be getting many answers.

ive tried looking around for the answer to my question but i haven't found it. thats why i posted here

Sorry it's just that we get so many posts about the same things every couple of minutes that it makes it hard to find anything on these forums.

Basically Starfall installs patches to your system menu that'll help prevent bricks. It installs a rescue feature that in case you banner brick, you can use a rescue function and boot up Twilight Princess, where you can then use the twilight hack and boot up WAD Manager and uninstall the bad WAD file. So this is VERY useful. You have to be on 3.2U to use this, but since you're already on it you should be fine. It's basically a must for every person installing lots of WAD files.

GeckoOS is a program that lets you launch region free games. It's getting less and less useful with the Backup Launcher letting you do the same thing, along with some patches in Starfall that makes your Wii region free. It depends on what you think is easier to do.

oh i see. thanks for the info.

so starfall and gecko os both make my wii region free? oh and also, would starfall protect my system if i were to update my wii from a PAL game on my NTSC system? (i heard it breaks systems like this)

what do you think the chances are of being able to play Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom on a NORTH AMERICAN wii? i really want to get that game!

Yes i mean that update check... Starfall can just disable the check for what's on the update partition of the game disc so you would be able to just play games. Unless a new ios is needed then you need to get the update files from the disc with wufe.

if I follow the sticky about downgrading to 3.2 and installing starfall, is there a slim chance I could brick it? I would hate to trash something that is working good right now, but the idea of wad uninstall/banner brick recovery is really really appealing.
