Gaming Star Fox Zero co-op work with (wii)classic controller pro?

Does anyone know if Zero is going to work with the regular wii classic controller pro for co-op? I have read that they think it works with wiimote+nunchuk or wiiU pro controller. But ive seen no mention of the normal wii classic controller pro(or classic controller). Any info is appreciated or if you guys have links to any articles that verify this, thanks!

aww anybody? someone here must be buying starfox with co-op in mind and know the answer to what controllers it supports

I don't play Star Fox anymore because not even the 3D remake could save your progress.

2 Player Co-op Play
Team up with a friend or family member to co-pilot your ship. One player uses the Wii U GamePad Controller to fire weapons while the other uses the Wii U Pro Controller or Wii Remote and Nunchuk to steer the ship, and in the case of the Gyrowing, one player pilots the Gyrowing while the other controls Direct-i.

What about single player??? Do you have to use the gamepad and motion controls???
