Now for reasons of simle support, FF doesn't actually NEED support. Just having IE out there is all the support that FF needs

My firefox 2 is using about 150K of ram while having 12 tabs open. Yay?

There are a number of ways to reduce Firefox memory usage. Google will tell you a good few.
But the only real fix is the Mozilla team finding the illusive memory leak.
