Last time I was looking back and was in first place then I fell off the track. The same could've happen if I were looking at the GamePad.

I'm reading the Splatoon eShop page now. The following are supported:

For Player 1 - the Wii U Gamepad

For Player 2 - a choice between these three: The Wii U Pro Controller, The Wii Classic Controller or the Wii Classic Controller Pro. This also means that your PDP and HORI fight pads are also compatible. The part that sucks is that there is STILL NO Wii Remote + Nunchuck option which is my major reason for not buying this game.

So now you can use a Classic Controller with the Wiimote to play Splatoon for P2? It's getting a bit better.

That has nothing to do with with. I was on the Shy Guy stage which I know like the back of my hand and about to get a boost to the other part but instead just for being a tad off I lost 1st place.

Have you ever played a shooter with the wii mote? its crap.

I play first person shooters with a Wii Remote ALL the time and it's fucking godly! Better than a keyboard and mouse. Just because you might suck with a Wii remote doesn't mean that others hate it. Come into a COD multiplayer match on a Nintendo console with anything but a a Wii Remote and watch yourself get squashed. That's just how things are. Why fumble with dual analog when you can literally point and shoot?!

I have a zapper but outside of the rail games (House of the Dead, Ghost Squad, ect) I rarely use it. I like to have "free form" Remote + Nunchuck so I can lob grenades when I get in a jam.
