Read the steps in the Original Post.
It guides you on what to do. Once you reach step 6, you need to find the correct section of the weapon's parameter to edit. Which for you, you'd have to find the Parameters that control the weapon's ink spread and such. ( I don't really know what it's called in the parameter files, so don't actually look for " ink spread ". )
Then after you do that, just follow the rest of the guide.

Edit: I haven't tried editing a Weapon's special properties so I don't know on the term of "Infinite Specials."

Just only said me what I edit please.
Sometimes you need to do a few things on your own. This is as simple as it can get, besides someone literally doing every step for you.
Look under the "Parameters" section in the Original Post. You will find what you need in that list.

Apologies if I sound a little agitated. ^^

Oh, @povlur., you know? (u can also know to do Infinite Kraken?

See, I'm going to help you if no one pays attention to your pleas:

STEP 1:
Buy an Inkling Squid amiibo

STEP 2:
Scan it in Inkopolis Plaza–
To do this, go to the giant amiibo box.

STEP 3:
Select a stage to play

STEP 4:
???? PROFIT
Enjoy your Kraken! :D

Now /see, there's an easy solution for everything!

At this point might as well wait until you can understand things a bit more. Here's a link to buy computers for dummies. https://www.amazon.com/PCs-Dummies-Dan-Gookin/dp/1118197348

Seriously, if you can't understand it, try to use your brain. Hopefully you'll figure it out, it's common sense.
Agreed.
Try looking at some other Wii U hacking threads and see if you can grab more of the concept of what you need to do. A little prior knowledge/experience can go a long way. ^^
Until then, maybe you'd understand the process a bit more. For now we've done all we could to try to help you.

Figured I might just dump this here–
I hope that's right:

NOTE: All different weapon kits share the same parameters, if that isn't obvious already–
It seems to cause confusion. (Splattershot = Tentatek = Hero Shot Replica = Octoshot)

I also have no idea about where the game stores the files dedicated to the "real" Hero Shot used in Octo Valley. See the following paragraph.

I have no access to my Wii U ATM, and as such, I haven't even got to dump this game, but I remembered there was a thread on /r/splatoon and it had a comment with a link to weapon parameters and stuff I saved, since this stuff really interests me– Hope it paid out.

E: A note, a disclaimer, formatting and obligatorily, a (few) word(s) =P
Uhm, In the OP, you credited @Leanny when it was @KoopaStarRpad who wrote the post itself.
^_^ Just thought I'd point that out.

@Splat_Red @povlur. Hey, I really don't know what is not working, please help me! I read the guide and did exactly what it said, I got the file, opened a command windown, extracted the .static, I have made my edits, I just cannot get it back into a .pack file. When I try to run the command, it just says, syntax error, even though I have clearly defined what I want it to do. Using a python 2.7 command line. Any idea what I am doing wrong, followed your guide exactly, so please help me!

You used the "open command window here" option, right? ( I'm using Windows 7, this can be done by holding shift and right clicking on the folder itself and clicking "open command prompt here"
You can also try manually dragging the files onto the Pack (Python file) I think.

@Splat_Red Tried dragging, that does not work with windows 10. But I shifted and clicked open command prompt here, and it worked! Thank you so much, I truly appreciate it!
