Maybe wait for splathex to update it's gear list then...

I mean you could use splathex to change a gear to another gear, save, run a diff between 2 files, and look for the gear id in the changed bytes and then put in your own gear id for the new gear, given you know what gear ids are.

I'm also having trouble decrypting my dumped save. My splatoon 2 isnt updated to the latest one, so that might be why. Any ideas?

I know this is old but this save doesnt have ALL the jp items in the save considering you have to single-handedly get every item using dlcs, ziperto has splatoon 2 including all dlcs and the JP gear, and you can edit that save to 100 it but i recommend having an offline modded switch if youre gonna move that save and be sure to have the game set as JP because you could get flagged for it by the nintendo ninjas and an get an irreparable ban too (IF you choose to use the save on a modded console)
