ROM Hack Spirit Track code Help

Im using a R4 and I cant seem to any of the code/cheats up they dont even show up when I turn on my R4.
Iv got the original R4 and am using firmware 1.18.

you patched your game? then change the game id yourself

so when I patched the game the ID number changes.

Question: Why doesn't the code database just use the patched Game ID as default, since there are no codes or flash cart firmwares that can bypass the AP?
