Actually looks promising this time, last good Spidey game was Ultimate Spider-Man. Hitting PS3, 360, Wii & DS. Being Activision expect a shittier Wii game.

Your friendly neighborhood Spider-man is going on a spectacular multi-dimensional adventure in his next outing, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, which sends old Web-head to realities both "amazing" and "noir." Let's hope the two remaining mystery dimensions don't include a "suck" dimension.

The previously teased Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will toss Spider-Man into four separate Marvel universes, according to GameSpot's first look at the Beenox-developed title. That quadruple reality rift is caused by the mystical MacGuffin known as the Tablet of Order and Chaos, which Peter Parker must reacquire.

Two realities, "noir" and "amazing," appear to be lifted from the Marvel Comics series of the same names, the Depression era Spider-Man: Noir and more modern The Amazing Spider-Man.

The game's first trailer highlights some of the gameplay differences between the two settings, as well as offering a preview at two of the game's bad guys, Kraven the Hunter and Hammerhead. It also gives us a peek at some of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions' first-person punching.

Activision promises that the two remaining realities will be revealed at the official Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions web site. There are plenty of reality opportunities for Spider-Man, including dimensions set in the rotting Marvel zombies universe, the futuristic 2099 universe, the historical 1602 universe, and beyond.

Marvel Zombies in this would be great.

This game looks really promising, I love spidey games. I hope it still has a free roam element to it. This game looks like it has a slightly darker side to it than usual ( In the sense of story not light

) and so may be interesting.

Damn, I shall be purchasing this game...I wonder how that FPS(First-Person-Spider) Fighting is going to play...I say the next 2 dimensions will be from the following...

1. Spider-Man 2099
2. Cosmic Spider-Man
3. Marvel Zombies Universe Spider-Man...SPOILER(the last series where he starts to help)

i like ultimate spiderman slightly more than DoS since DoS is very fun but at the beginning... later on u feel annoyed with the number of enemies trying to get to u... ultimate spiderman is more balanced and has good variations
they need to make it as fast as DoS and gameplay slightly tuned from USM

the fan in me is raging at me to completed web of shadow and forcing me to say:"dude, surrendered to the dark side and use some cheats and let's speed through the game"

Also, please god, spring me a surprise and tell me that there's a PC version or a PS2 version or heck, a psp version.
