Until tomorrow evening/Thursday morning the real answer is "We don't know yet."

One thing we do know about( but everyone seems to have forgotten) is that Nintendo partnered with Denuvo. We don't know for sure what that is or what it will look like.

We will actually find out for certain very shortly.

If Denuvo is involved things could be very challenging for homebrew and hacking.

Denuvo will not be a factor in hacking the console itself, at least not from anything publicly announced (and it would be odd given their expertise). What was announced in 2023 was a Switch specific product aimed at preventing emulation was approved as a middleware. As far as anyone knows, no one took them up on that offer.

If the assumptions about Switch 2's strong security prove correct, and assuming that this security successfully hinders pirated retail game emulation, then there will be zero demand for Denuvo on Switch 2.

We do not know what kind of factor Denuvo will or will not be.

That's my point.

We don't know enough yet to be making much in the way of definitive statements.

By that logic we don't know what kind of factor literally any other security product on the market will or will not be. It doesn't make sense to worry about products or services that haven't been revealed, because it's all just a bunch of hypotheticals.

Denuvo announced a middleware solution for Switch 1 games. Even if anyone ever used that product (and they didn't), it would not have secured the console itself against hacking. That is beyond its scope.

If all you care about is Switch 2 piracy, Denuvo could plausibly be an obstacle. But we're not talking about piracy. We're just talking about hacking the Switch 2. And from that standpoint, there's no reason to be particularly concerned about Denuvo over anything else.

Even just to mod games, I want the switch 2 to be hackable.

I'm very curious what the community will find

It's glitchy for everyone right now. Elon's page is blank too and many others. :rofl2:
Aw phew haha

I have 2 consoles on order but honestly I'm struggling to justify opening one to play just mario kart

It's all happening so soon though!

That's what the "anti-glitching measures" are about - modchips won't happen anytime soon, or possibly not at all.
It will be incredible if Nintendo of all manufacturers creates the first unhackable console. But I have a hunch that if anything, the modchips will drop faster than with the switch 1. But as a wise man said... Let's wait and see.

You're dreaming. Nintendo nearly had it right with the Switch. If not for Nvidia's misstep it wouldn't have been possible after about HOS version 7 (2019 era). You're doing everyone a disservice if you think that Nintendo and Nvidia haven't dissected the modchips and determined exactly how to prevent them. If it is successfully broken it is going to be with a new method of attack on a chip that is relatively unknown.

Don't underestimate the ingenuity of the hacking community.

Xbox One and Series already are unhackable
