The game is so thin on plot and content ("spaceships" and "aliens", which are totally generic), that practically the only thing they've bought is the right to use the name Space Invaders, since I'm pretty sure they won't use any of the designs

I'd like to note that the 120 minute-long Transformers 3 contained about 25 minutes of action at the very most.

I hope there's more action. Not much of a story to space invaders. I hope they don't change it's complex formula.

You heard it right, Hollywood is going to make a movie on the popular space invaders franchise. Lorenzo di Bonaventura (producer of transformers) and Gigi Pritzker (odd lot entertainment) have optioned the rights for the movie. Details on the movie's plot or relation to the game is yet unknown. On the one hand the game is so simplistic that the story can be bent in any way possible, on the other hand, the game is so thin on actual plot, that it would be trying to give a good simple game, too much plot. [/p]

I'm expecting something good on the movie. I just hope so.
