What do you mean?

DVD Playback as in MPlayer DVD? Check WiiBrew.org

Music codecs? Check the site that MADE the codec. Check Wikipedia.com

There's tons on WiiBrew.org

No, it's not the only site, but most of the Wii homebrew source code is found there. If you ignore the "pirate" stuff like backup launchers and cIOS installers, i would say more than 90% of the available Wii source code can be found there.

For a easy start, get an SVN client and checkout the source for SoftChip. Its a very neat and well written backup loader. Good first learning experience

i'm reading the tut at codemii.com kinda ocnfusing

i need to read it a couple times over to understand what they mean lol, someone should make a video tut be much nicer for all those visual learners out there like me lol

If you find that too hard, you should probably stick to some Windows programming first. Perhaps a managed language first, such as C#/VB, then move onto C++
Then once you feel you have the hang of the whole programming thing, move onto DS/Wii programming. Patience is the key
