I'm trying to gather information of Sony's ban behaviour.
Anyone that has been banned from PSN can post here how they where banned.

Please atleast state the following with short answers and or Yes/No

CFW/ODDE/OFW:
Online multiplayer:
Connected to PSN:
Homebrew whilst on PSN:
Cheating whilst on PSN:
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on a separate profile:
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on your main PSN profile:
If applicable, reason of ban:
Console ban:
Account ban:
Date of acquiring CFW and date of acquiring ban:
Hours a day of connected to PSN:
Hours a day of playing multiplayer games:

Anything else you might have to add is welcomed.

I'm purely doing this out of interest.
Please, do not feed false information or shitpost for likes.
I'm not interested in that nonsense.

Edit:
For people looking to prevent bans, see this thread.
Also, do not run GTA V and several new COD games without an Anti-ban eboot.
It's a guaranteed way to get banned, along with cheating online.

I sold a bunch of modded gta v accounts around 2015 and I advertised on the ps4 community chat rooms. After a month or 2 of selling modded accounts the account I advertised with got banned due to a bunch of people reporting it from those community rooms.

CFW/ODDE/OFW: At first 3.55 kmeaw + PSN spoofing, then Rebug
Online multiplayer: Nope. Didn't really have any games that I wanted to play online.
Connected to PSN: Yes
Homebrew whilst on PSN: I don't think so? Nothing I hat installed at the time needed PSN access, that I recall
Cheating whilst on PSN: Only on single player.
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on a separate profile: No other profile
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on your main PSN profile: By necessity, yes.
If applicable, reason of ban: No reason provided. Last I could investigate, it was while fiancee was using my console for netflix streaming
Console ban: Yes
Account ban: Yes

Kind of hilarious that thanks to updated CFW having updated Cobra payloads, I get more use out of my 60GB PS3 now than I did even when Linux functionality was officially sanctioned. Being able to drop in burned copies of PS1/2 games on the same PS3 with cleaner graphics quality is a huge convenience boost. :yayps3: Considering that I've not had any issues on my 360 with the same (relative) behavior, pretty obvious which platform I'm more willing to buy a console from, if and when I get enough $$$ to actually get a newer console (besides Nintendo, anyway).

CFW/ODDE/OFW: Yes, FERROX
Online multiplayer: No
Connected to PSN: Yes
Homebrew whilst on PSN: No
Cheating whilst on PSN: No
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on a separate profile: No
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on your main PSN profile: No Yes (see update below)
If applicable, reason of ban: PSN account logged in on a PS3 with modified firmware
Console ban: Yes
Account ban: Yes

Seriously, all I had done is hack the console and had logged into PSN at some point. I hadn't gotten to try loading homebrew or backups yet.

Update: Just noticed this thread again and I actually have an update. Found out sometime in 2018 when complaining to my brother about my banned account that he had backed up a game and launched it just to test it out. It wasn't a game with any online functionality though.

CFW/ODDE/OFW: Cobra/Ferrox 4.82
Online multiplayer: No
Connected to PSN: Yes (Once)
Homebrew whilst on PSN: No
Cheating whilst on PSN: No
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on a separate profile: Yes
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on your main PSN profile: No
If applicable, reason of ban: Unauthorised software.
Console ban: Yes
Account ban: Yes

Connected once to my profile during the mod process, never again turned off auto login, still banned.

Interested in seeing who is using PSNPatch and who is not. I've been sparingly using it with a spare account on my PS3 with no ban yet since the release of PS3Xploit. I'm interested to see which bans are Sony's and which bans are brought on by user error.

Wait , really you can play burned discs of ps1/2 games ?

I think it works pretty well. I've been using it for a few years and haven't been banned, yet. I usually only go online to download purchased games, though.

I had cfw about 7 years ago when 3.55 was the current firmware and even hosted challenge lobbies in MW2. Somebody updated my ps3, though, so I went without it for a while. A few years ago I downgraded my ps3 and installed cfw again. This was was on the same account. It never got banned and it's the same one I use on my Vita and PS4

Besides the challenge lobbies 7 years ago, I have never cheated or gone online with a pirated game. I think it's possible to avoid a ban by being careful.

Dunno if this helps but I got rid of my PS3 about a year and a half ago, I did use it to go onto PSN spoofed a couple of times with a 3.55 cfw. Didn't pay online just used the store. Later upgraded to Rebug but don't think I went online with that.

Account not banned and as far as I was aware the console wasn't banned.

CFW/ODDE/OFW: cfw
Online multiplayer: no
Connected to PSN: yes
Homebrew whilst on PSN: don't think so.
Cheating whilst on PSN: no
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on a separate profile: no, and using the psn patcb plugin too.
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on your main PSN profile: no, I just test things with the system. I'm on psx place as pinky. :)
If applicable, reason of ban: dunno
Console ban: yes, permanent
Account ban: yes, main account too (permanent), so my vita and ps4 are affected, but I have ways around that. ;)

With a BC PS3? Yeah, I didn't believe it for a while. But with a recent enough CFW, enabling COBRA payload lets me put in a disc (burned or not) and it'll play. :)
My brother played a ps2 ISO , not a ps2 disc

CFW/ODDE/OFW: Rebug REX 4.81 and Cobra Ferrox 4.82
Online multiplayer: No
Connected to PSN: Yes, always with Webman's R2+triangle
Homebrew whilst on PSN: No
Cheating whilst on PSN: No
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on a separate profile: No
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on your main PSN profile: Yes

Browsed a couple pages of PS store, downloaded some game updates, "went online" on a recently dead game, screwed around with chat to see if my PS4-owning friend accepted me, synced trophies - everything is still fine yet :)
Most of the "objectionable" things (changing games very often, trophies earned close in time, DEX system) are on the Vita side

CFW/ODDE/OFW: CFW, A version of Rebug, but forget which.
Online multiplayer: No
Connected to PSN: Yes
Homebrew whilst on PSN: Was typically using multiman.
Cheating whilst on PSN: No
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on a separate profile: No
Loading backups via Multiman/Webman on your main PSN profile: Yes
If applicable, reason of ban: Using CFW on console while connected to PSN
Console ban: Yes
Account ban: Yes

Only ever really used PSN for downloading of digital content which came with games I had purchased and game updates. Only used multiman for a handful of games. None of which were used for online multiplayer.

My brother played a ps2 ISO , not a ps2 disc
Hard drives I've once stored isos on were long gone. I barely had any storage to retain such back in the day, so everything i had was burned to disc because modchip. Thankfully, newer cobra payload treats burned games like real ones in the xmb.

i just got myself a ps3 phat, tried to read comments but didnt made any sense, i dont have ps plus on my profile and plan to install cfw for backups, should i keep it disconnected from internet? or i can use / play games and emulators while keeping it connected with internet for downloading of update file? as i have bought few games on my psn account on ps4. best advice as im not interested in multiplayer.
