Sonic Mania - New 2D Sonic Game

Im not so sure we can call this the "next sonic game" just yet.
Sonic Team said they were working on another Sonic game, and this is not made by them.
So maybe we'll be seeing a new 3d sonic game by the end of the show.
Even if we don't, im happy with just this

I haven't play a Sonic game that I straight up dislike and I play almost, almost every single Sonic game. Like I wouldn't mind more "story book" games.

They could have thrown in some 3D environments (going inward) even if it just for looks and doesn't require stopping or at least even have the background be 3D art. I'm happy for the 2D fans and I like 2D games, but I want my free roam, open world, bug free as possible and full effort Sonic Adventure 3 with Chaos Garden already. Honestly, they should have had Chaos Garden in almost every single game.

I think it would have been cool, if they had thrown Amy into this as a playable character. Would have been new and felt like a completion of the main cast. Plus you would have had your girl character.

Honestly, this could very well come out on the NX and I would have like it portable too.
