Im pretty sure GCN controllers are supported since time ago.

I think it must be modified in hex in the Data.rsdk file, i don't know.

4:3 and 240p modes are supported, however you have to modify the Settings.ini file for enable those modes.

4:3 is only set when the Wii video settings is set to 4:3.
240p can only be enabled with a setting in Settings.ini.
Iirc, the display name can be changed in the settings file.

Latest build of RSDKv5 Decompilation for Wii designed for run Sonic Mania, including its DLC Sonic Mania Plus (it still requires the Data.rsdk to be stored into /apps/SonicMania/ as stated on README)

The commits included:
From Mefiresu's RSDKv5 Wii port branch:
- Merged latest commits from Rubberduckycooly's RSDKv5 Decompilation main branch as of October 7, 2022, plus:
- wii: Fix GX API usage
- wii: Reset analog inputs for Wiimote
- Gamecube controller and true analog stick support (#6)

From Rubberduckycooly's Sonic Mania Decompilation main branch, as of October 7, 2022:
- hopefully make things a little easier to read
- Merge pull request #146 from Clownacy/fixes6
- Fix SSZ fireflies.

the game crashes Before and after the metal sonic boss. and it also crashes after beating titanic monarch act 1 making the game unbeatable. it even crashes in when going to fast in studio opolis act1

I've finished my Sonic Mania Wii port forwarder.
Avaliable for Wii and vWii of Wii U.

Thanks to @Zorg1996 for the original channel banner and channel icon design, i've tweaked a bit for make it look like a Wii (WiiWare) game.

The vWii forwarder i've converted using WiiForwarder2vWii.

EDIT: Both forwarders load the boot.dol in this location: apps/SonicMania/boot.dol

SD card tested only, i haven't tested it in a USB drive.

Tested the new update with all bells and whistles minus 240p and it works great so far, but is it true that near the end of the game the game crashes and its impossible to beat this port?

I have the same problem It also crashes before the metal Sonic boss fight

How do I get the video filters to work
Okay, after i had to scratch a bit my head and see that i had to put the "SonicMania" folder of this repo https://github.com/Rubberduckycooly/Sonic-Mania-Decompilation/ in the root of the folder RSDKv5 Wii renamed as "Game" now it compiled.

Here's some pretty screenshots of this working with DLC and everything:
(even when 3D bonus stages still run somewhat slow)

Sorry for necrobump :v

I'm back at bringing updated builds of Sonic Mania (with Plus DLC enabled) for the Wii.
Compiled until git https://github.com/Mefiresu/RSDKv5-Decompilation/commit/6c48f8a83784e4e04231d86074e80c3f197d3fa3

Changes:
  • Multi-player mode ENABLED ON Wii!!!!! If playing as Sonic and Tails, a second Wii Remote can be connected and will control Tails.
  • Correctly set viTVMode in 240p mode. Now it works on both NTSC and PAL.
  • Fix XFB framebuffer freeing (fixes some crashes)
  • some more changes...
SPOILER: Mania (Bonus) stages runs at 60FPS on Wii with the No Special Stage Decoration mod!!!

hey! I'm getting a issue with my game. when I play with my Wii in 16:9 mode some of the screen is cut off. this happens to sonic mania only.
