Gaming Some Help

Hi there, i'm new here, so please apologize me if i make some mistake. My wii is PAL and some games works fine, others no. i trying to play super smash bros brawl, my version is PAL, and my modchip is wiikey 1 100% updated. But when i put the DVD on the wii, it says i need to update it and i can't do it cuz my wii will brick. What Should i do?

if its a iso wii brick block it.
if its a original game check if it's from your region.

Thanks, i will try it. Can i transform a game is already on DVD in a ISO again?
