Hacking Question Some burning questions

1-Would any usb c to a cable work to transfer the payload to the switch? I am concerned that if the cable charges when I put the switch on the PC it might brick if its not good enough

2-Can I buy eshop games or play demos if I'm on 4.1?

3-I bought an SXPRO , but I expect more than a month wait. Is it worth to update to latest firmware in the mean time? I'm on 4.1. Would that burn fuses?

4-If I buy a second hand physical game like BOTW will I be able to play it without updating?

5- Can I revert the ''Block updates'' feature, with the DNS and all?

1. Not every, but most data cables would.
2. Nope.
3. You can update via rajkostos method without burning fuses, but you would need to either keep your switch in sleep mode or on every boot connect your Switch to PC and load payload.
4. Yes unless there is a new revision.

1. Any data cable will do, but I always opt for high quality just to avoid potential data transfer errors. The power supplied by your PC's USB ports isn't enough to brick your Switch.
2. No.
3. There aren't many games that require 5.x.x yet. Updating normally will definitely burn a fuse. 4.1 has potential for alternative CFW loading/injection that 5.x.x does not. If you're happy with SX OS and/or current solutions, go ahead... but you can't change your mind later. While you're waiting, read this.
4. Yes. I did that myself for a while.
5. Yes. Just remove the DNS entry in your network config.

That cable is just fine. Amazon Basic is a halfway decent brand.
