Some 3DS games may not be 3D

its actually graphics that are needed be they 3d or not... old games have been introduced first to test how different the graphics will be and how they can be improved
let 3ds games be good, thats all we need

There's already going to be a Professor Layton title for 3DS, it's somewhat obvious that one won't have the 3D effect on 2D sprites.

Who knows, maybe PL for 3ds will be like pokemon ranger or something like kingdom hearts for the ds

That's pretty obvious, if shovelware is to plague the 3DS like it did with the DS. Imagine Babies 3DS? No effort required.

its not exactly 2x the boost but it is close to it. alot of things that are passed through the frame buffer like some particle effects with an opaque map dont need to be rerendered. Particle effects can be very GPU intensive at times.

Either way, I'm cool with it. Better graphics vs 3D. I imagine the really good games that absolutely need every last ounce of power will use 2D. And even 3D games can incorporate a 2D mode to enhance the graphics somewhat, I imagine.

I don't really care if games come out 3d or not, as long as they are still good. I just hope they don't make a game where 3D has to be turned on at all times.
