Hacking Solderless Wiikey 2 and 4.2

Will I still be able to play backups and other regions games with a solderless wiikey 2 modchip on 4.2 wii? I have heard that, with modchip installed, backups will no longer work on wii with 4.2.

Backups os same region, no problem (though, might need to trucha sign IOS70).

Different region games is where the issue is.
