Requiem, did you add the 249 IOS thing yet?

And if not; if I patched my ISOs to make them work off of IOS249, would they work on softchip?

I would like to know as well, Its the reason ive been holding out on this loader. Once 249 fix is in, you have surpassed gamma imo....ssxblur, sam&max,etc.... I can only wait.

Thats what I want to know, supposedly the 249 fix was gonna be put into the loader itself. Idk if it has or not. Any info would be nice.

Some older non working games such as mk armagedon were founf to work if patched to work with ios 249.people are trying to make a sofchip that uses this ios to start games.

EDIT: What means selectable IOS? And what it does?

Selectable IOS means you can select which IOS is used to run the game from. Which mean if you've installed the cIOS to 247 instead of 249 (for example), you can change the IOS to 247 so it runs.

Any news on the 249 patch?

Just a bit of information feedback for you guys. Yesterday I patched Rock Band to IOS249 and used the SoftChip-RB loader and all is good. So I downloaded Rock Band Track Pack 1 and patched it. Does not work.... Burned a second time and get same error.... here is the dump.

What does RB stand for, and I understand what depreciated means but I don't get the context in which you used it in, do you mine rephrasin what you just said?

RB = Rock Band

All it was was changing one line in include/SoftChip.h to make it use IOS232 instead of 249.

Now r59 can select what IOS to use.

we still need a patch that will fix red steel/mk/other to think the disc has been patched to use ios249 or whatever cios is running. i'm not sure if it's possible to perform this from the loader side, maybe with a patch to main.dol if that's where the check is ocurring. of course a cios patch might be more compatible with games that might have more than one dol, like house of the dead 2 and 3, not sure though. we're still waiting for requiem to post his cios/dip module source.

just out of curiosity, can we use wiigator's installer with newer ioses (like 50, 53, 55) as inputs? i would assume it only works with 36 and maybe 37 but i never tested it since i was afraid of an install failure.

Another RB note. Couldn't get Track Pack 1 working with R59 either. Tried a dozen different IOS #s and no go. Tested RB and a dozen other titles and they all booted but not Track Pack 1. Error scrools off screen too fast to see what it says.
