Yeah don't assume so much either as if others are'nt ALLOWED to learn or share in a experience it was a quite simple question with no need of your "patronizing remarks" a YES or NO

what you could have said RATHER THAN BEING A DICK HEAD...is

NO there wont be a compat list untill it is ready for a release either...
(its not as if i had posted over and over or was trolling about so..)

and you would have achieved the same result without being disrespectful and acting like your somehow Better than other users THAT is not a community disposition...That said thank you for a quick response and sorry if you hate me now...I wont be egging anything on i wont even bother posting again untill a actual release.

thanks to all the contributers involved and try to have a little more pride and patients WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!

This thread is turning into exactly the opposite of what I was hoping...

Let me say this:

If you don't know how to download the most recent code or how to compile it by yourself, then just move along.

Also, if you don't know how to use SVN, then just stop what you're doing and don't ask here....this project isn't for you.

This code is pre-alpha - it's intended for people who have a modicum of knowledge when it comes to compiling code...

Just stick to Wiigator's build if you're unsure.

Stop asking for a .dol file.

If you don't know how to make one already from the code that is easily accessible to all, then don't even bother posting...

I think that telling people who show interrest in this project to just move along is a bit blunt. I don't see why you should be the the one to decide and set those rules anyway.
Aslong as people look before they ask something and make sure noone else has posted it yet, then questioning should be alright.
And the reporting of games that fail to load should also form an asset for those looking to take out the bugs.

No, I understood quite well what was meant by this. The SVN trunk is not stable. SVN trunk will never be stable. It is the very definition of bleeding edge. Precompiled dols are allowed, but everyone needs to realize that if it's not official, it should contain sources. Unofficial precompiled dols could brick your wii. Basically, he was saying to be careful.

This is irrelevant to the development of the loader. Can we please get back on topic?

Running r28 480p (edtv/hdtv) dol boots everytime now.Tried wii sports (pal) crashes to green screen after pressing A button every time, changed video mode to 60hz 480i now loads ok.

Weird cuz I tried this on my friends unchipped Wii (3.3U), Softchip works fine, but I can't get DVDX to work. I tried it under IOS36 and IOS249, but nothing.

Because your friend has 3.3v3 which blocks fakesigning.
There is a little fix-it post on my blog (see sig)
I'll try that now Arm. My only other question is where it says to install Waninkoko's cIOS rev6, can I use the cIOS with the read retry fix I used from the stickied thread of loaders?

Am i the only one getting this error.

i backup my own games so i know they r 1:1 copies but when i try to load them i get cannot open partition. even if i put in real games. no matter what i put in i get this same error. someone else must of got this error????

Yes, we all know this is a pre alpha, but the thing is that people who don't know how to compile the app likely can report bugs just as well as those who can't. So having a compiled .dol around for those who can't compile makes the bug reports go along faster.

Yeah. It's still a cIOS. You just need a cIOS so you can use the IOS Downgrader.
Ok, I downloaded the update fix from your blog and followed the instructions, but I still can't get DVDX I assume to work properly. When I run MPlayer DVD, it just stays frozen on the first screen. It must be me.

If you've ran the IOS Downgrader, it should work...
Could it possibly have something to do with running the InstallIOS51 and Wiishop DOL that was included? After I installed the cIOS after running the Downgrader, I installed the IOS51 dol since my friend also needed that, then ran DVDX trying it both on IOS36 and IOS249.

Sorry if I sounded blunt.

I just want people to realise that this code is PRE-alpha, therefore inherently expected to possibly be unstable. Posting a pre-compiled executable is only going to draw more and more people in to trying it out, then moaning about why it doesn't work how they'd like. I don't deny that these people may be useful for bug reporting, and gaining a large cross-section of compatibility testers on different hardware/firmware combos out there is definitely a "good thing", but only if those people testing realise exactly what they're dealing with...which by providing a pre-compiled bit of code IMO takes away part of the process...they won't necessarily know exactly what revision they're dealing with or the changelog up to that point....

Anyway, back on topic:

As it stands, for me SoftChip has overall produced better results than Wiigator's loader, and is already more compatible...keep up the good work, requiem4d!

So many revisions, so little changelogs? What's actually happening with all these revisions? Do they increase compatibility? Add new features? What?
