All stupidity aside, the in-game text reader is extremely helpful if you need to check a FAQ or walkthrough but have no access to a computer. Works especially well for the Phoenix Wright games.

I got a Cyclo 3 days ago... and I don't find it too amazingly spectacular aside from RTS which I don't use too frequently, and game slowdowns which I never use... but my clincher is the cheats, it's harder to use than the R4. I preferred it when you could just press X on a game to pick cheats. Also, it would've been fun to be able to delete stuff from the memory stick in menu and see all different files, instead of always using DSOrganise.

Come to think of it, one of the only good things about the Cyclo is homebrew soft reset

but unfortunately that can't justify a $75 purchase (from Ozmodchips, which was fast and efficient

)
