Yes, but if they make any changes they have to send that new version to Nintendo, and will usually come out after release of the first update/initial release.

It looks like any other update which is the legacy addition. Not the bedrock and we just got an update which was the final fantasy skin update I think your wrong

Bedrock update is a whole new game .the same happened with X Box, allowing users to use both version separately if they wanted to.

According to a reddit post, they are holding off on digital release until the cartridge version of the game is ready.
This is just speculation though.
