I uninstalled as I realised I haven't used any CFW features, and I'm only using legit games. I didn't want to take a risk of bricking through corrupt SD or anytihng like that if it isn't worth it, as I'm basically not using CBHC's features.

After uninstallation, the Ds game (brain training) is still displaying the warning sign with 'Don't touch me'. Is this a normal occurrence?

I don't know anything about the warning sign but I just wanted to tell you that once CBHC is installed, the risk of bricking is zero. A corrupted SD Card could be deadly during the installation but afterwards it doesn't really matter.

I know, I just thought I'd go back to haxchi since I'm not getting anything out of CBHC, and the fact my children use the Wii U - I didn't want to risk anything.

Basically, iis that icon just a remnant of the uninstallation? Can I delete it and reinstall my DS game and haxchi since that icon isn't doing anything?

you only need to reinstall haxchi again and your fine.

All the CBHC Uninstaller does is write to a configuration file on your console, instructing it to launch the Wii U Menu on boot, rather than your Virtual Console game. The actual CBHC program is left on your console, but as you've likely experienced already, you can install regular Haxchi over it or remove it entirely without issues.

IS it safe to install CBHC back over that copy of haxchi, if I decide to ever install it again?

As long as Haxchi is working fine it is safe. I would say though that installing, uninstalling and installing repeatedly is just asking for trouble, your risking way more brick chance than just leaving it alone in the first place.

Haxchi is working just fine, so I think i'll just leave it anyway. I use vWii for all of my emulators, gamecube and wii games, so I have no real reason to use CFW on a permanent basis.

I did it because one of my daughters opened the CBHC menu by pressing the home button when she turned on the gamepad. I think leaving it that way is asking for more trouble.
