I am eekee. I have health problems which, I must admit, include symptoms of dementia. However, I was raised to believe I can do anything I set my mind to, and thus I am determined to prove that I can be president of the United States develop an operating system!
Nah
The truth is I've been interested in OS development since I was about 12, when I wanted to bring multitasking to 8-bit Ataris. I never did, my health has held me back badly, but I kept the dream alive. Finding a DS-lite cheap, I remembered InfernoDS and DSLinux and bought it. My plans are much simpler than InfernoDS (which itself is much simpler than DSLinux). Forth is so close to the machine that a Forth interpreter can be run as a sort of primitive operating system, and that's my plan. I want to use the DS's buttons as a chording keyboard. It'll be very fast to type on if I get it right.
Oh for crying out loud this text field! I start typing a word, realise I want a different one, delete the word and it auto-deletes the space before the word right when I'm starting to type its replacement. With my health, such interference is nothing short of damaging to my mental stability. Where's the plain-text editor option?
(Did pressing the delete key at the end of a line just do the same as backspace?
I think it was another case of eager space deletion.)
