Is it just maintenance or did Nintendo try to sneak an update on us?
Seems like the usual, nothing.
i see no status of anything higher then 5.5.1 on their website...
Just for Splatoon nothing special but it´s strange , a lot of maintenance and no update
I´ve hope for update this day
Lets keep enjoying our Wii U's in the mid time
Well in a weeks time or so I guess I'll have to bite the bullet so I can enjoy starfox
I don't know if it was totally nothing. I noticed my WiiU has been a little more stable recently. Too stable...
Finally, a thread related on what I'm waiting.... oh wait no
*shrugs* Too much silence...
Big brother is watching.
I want one of the IOSU hackers to fuckin' tell Ninty about the IOSU exploit, so they can patch it and we can have it...
They are pre heating the console ban hammer.
Hey Country mate.
fwiw all the recent maintenance over the last ~3 months has likely been to implement a more robust backend, as well as for the Miitomo launch and the Nintendo Account rollout. If the Wii U has any updates left in it, they're probably just going to be for keeping up with their network backend.
Most of their OS devs are presumably busy with NX, especially since it's been said that console is in third-party devs' hands. That's a very critical time in development for a new console OS/environment (or two). Even if it was possible/practical to report bugs to them (idk if anyone's ever succeeded in this), I wouldn't expect to see any bug fixes unless A: the exploit in question is quick (cheap) to fix, and B: the exploit is widely available.
There's no way in hell they're still doing regular security audits to Cafe OS or IOSU either, given the last significant OS update was in November 2014 and fixing bugs when the common key & ancast keys are available means literally just giving away vulnerabilities.
