Hacking SNES9X emulator help

Sorry, this is NeSchns brother. We recently just modded our Wii, downloaded a SNES9X-GX 2.0 emulator plus ROMs and everything works fine. The Roms work perfect and the gamecube controller works fine too. When I go to play a multiplayer game, the second player can't use a controller even when its in its right slot. It won't recognize a second gamecube controller to play multiplayer games. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? I've been through the config, but I still can't figure it out. Thanks.

Is there any other emulators out there that have multiplayer support for the wii?

like I said in that other topic, you should switch to a more recent emulator. v3.1 by LoPsT for example.
it will run in wiimode, which will require you to learn how to install & boot wiihomebrew, but it's quite easy actually
