Hacking SNES wads not loading

hey everyone

I hacked my Wii and my n64 wads work great but the SNES ones, specifically ALTTP, crash the console. (definitely a crash not just black screen, controller flashes). I know the wad files are fine they play on dolphin. I've tried deleting/uninstalling and reinstalling. tried different wads and different wad managers, same results every time.

A few questions.

Is this a Wii U (you're posting in the Wii U section) or an original Wii (you called it a Wii)?

What region is your console?

What region are the WAD files you're using?

My first guess here is a video signal mismatch, e.g. trying to run PAL WADs on an NTSC console, but that's pure speculation.

ack sorry it's a Wii. USA console, tried wads from all different regions.

update: you were right- changing to component cables and switching the video output settings fixed it. thank you. mods- feel free to move this to wii section.
