Make sure you do not have slot.bin in the sneek/ folder on the first try. Let SNEEK create the file. Even if it is there and set to "1" it can lead to no signal.
because if you just have one game there is only game 0, game 1 doesn't exist and it won't boot.
There's more to it than that. I had 5 games installed and SNEEK di would not boot (no signal) until I deleted the slot.bin that I copied from my old USB device and let SNEEK create a new one.

I dunno why i cant boot sneek-di on my wii
frown.gif

i've used the installer to install snee-di to my sd card, then i installed 2 games on the USB drive

usb://games/AAAA
usb://games/BBBB // just examples

but i still get a black screen.
my nand is 4.2 obviously

do i need the GC controller plugged for the nand to boot?

EDIT: the wii drive blinks once after a couple of seconds, but still all black.

Just FYI, you don't have to name the folder that the game's in after the gameid, you can name it whatever you want. Sneek doesn't care what any of your folders are named, just that they exist

yes, i know, btw, i'm reading this document
http://code.google.com/p/sneek/wiki/FAQDI

and it says something about patching a .app

what's this? i didn't patch anything...

ok, finally i managed to make it work, i had to format the drive specifying the 32k cluster size.

now the problem is the game selection menu, i've plugged in the gc controller on port 1, but when i hit start, the screen goes black, if i hit start again, i go back to the wii system menu, but i dunno how to switch games

Do you have font.bin on SD?

mhhhhh no,
where do i get font.bin?

do i need it in the sd root?

it would also be nice if there was a way to switch games without the need of a gc controller, maybe an homebrew or such

Anything you need you can get from the links on this thread. ->

Including the font.bin of course. To my knowledge you put that file in the root.

Ugh I'm at the end of my rope right now. I tried installing SNEEK to two SD cards and UNEEK on my Thumb Drive, all formatted to FAT32. I dumped my NAND using FSDumper(Which left me without a setting.txt, used ftpii and settingsdecryptor) and so I put all the files and everything, used font.bin and region.bin and to no avail it doesn't work. I can't help but feel it hates me >.> I even tried in the SNEEK+DI guide make a fresh NAND and that doesn't want to boot either. Right now I'm just trying to get SNEEK to work. As I turn on my wok with SD card with SNEEK(tried with USB in also), the wii light flashes a long flash and fails to boot. I even left my wii on when I went out and hours later I still had a black screen. Is it my wii or sd card? It's confusing me now ._.

I'm having the same problem. I've tried SNEEK, SNEEK + DI, and UNEEK with no success from any of them.

hello everyone...
again ^^

i'm experiencing an issue when i try to play metroid prime trilogy, it boots just fine, but when i select the game i want to play, the console reboots, and a black screen appears, without reloading sneek and the nand. (no signal)
do i need to perform any particular task to have MPT to work on sneek + di?

You don't need to decrypt your setting.txt file unless you are changing values. And if you do decrypt it you will need to re-encrypt it before putting it on the SD card.

Okay so I guess I'll try doing that see if it'll work. I'll create a scratch 3.2U NAND and see what happens...

ok so this is kool no more compileing at least that is out of the way a few things im failing to understand about this application tho.... wich is pretty much everything about it for instance the sneek files where/what is that reffering to? the IOS box i know what an IOS is its a file installed to my wii (IOS 249 ect. ect.) but what IOS do i point the directory too (dont think i can ask where to get it here) and as far as SD device and USB device im asuming these are output folders?

my personal objectives:
trying to get an emulated NAND that works with my WII to operate correctly (cIOS XXX REV19 the one that dosent work with trii force so ya sneek/uneek is my only option)
would potentally like both USB HDD emulation and SD emulation at the same time (due to my findings the 255 title/channel limmit for even an emulated wii nand) so that i may install up to the max channels on an SD card and just have to switch SD cards for another 255 ww or vc games or what ever i like the hdd nand purpose serves the fact id like to use it for games save space on the HDD or more or less a back up i guess (seeing as how also from my findings you cant run games from an ISO loader from sneek) as well as brick proofing my wii due to the fact i cant install bootmii as the boot2 and only have partial brick protection via preloader v4 and bootmii IOS

maybe i dont even need both SD and USB emulation tho id like to acheive both for experimention / orginazation ect anyt idea or pointing me in the right direction would be awsome im completly cluless how this sneek/uneek thing works long hand or other wise and none of this is making sence

question of intrest:

why hasent this been uploaded all precompiled and in the right directorys and such like every other wii home brew has i mean does sneek/uneek require something from each individual console that all this has to be done for each person/console that wants to run sneek?

Legal reasons.

I need help using this application to get a sneek+di install.
How do I use the two get files buttons, am I supposed to have something in the directories I point them to?

Everything checks out, and the folder structure matches what it's supposed to be, but when I try to load it all I get is my wii's drive flashing blue.

Use bootmii and dump your nand.bin then extract it to folders with showmiiwads(tools tab, Extract Bootmii Dump). unless your changing the region of your wii or nand you don't need region.bin. leave bootmii folder on your stick and delete everything else. replace the bootmii armboot.bin with the sneek armboot.bin and copy dumped nand folders over to your stick. If you want the DI menu throw the font.bin in the root of your SD. put the stick in your wii and boot it.

Providing you understand how to use the auto installer successfully everything should work fine using this method.

edit: the guide in my signature gives you the file structure

How to use the SNEEKInstaller by crediar
Download SNEEKInstallerv0.1b1-cred.rar and extract the contents to your desktop
make a New Folder on your desktop
Click on SNEEKInstaller when it opens
click the first Browse button and direct it to the New Folder you created
click the Get Files next to that Browse button on the left
click the 2nd Browse button below the first and direct it to the New Folder you created
click the Get Files next to that button
then below that you can either browse to the same New Folder or you can Browse to where your SD is located, your choice.
below that if you are wanting to install UNEEK Browse to the USB drive you will be using
then on the right choose which SNEEK you would like to make
below that on the right choose your Wii's region
the below that on the right click install.
the SNEEK files are now found in the New Folder or the SD which ever you directed it to.

EDIT: this is being added to my guide

ChokeD, stop it! You're not letting people think/learn on their own.

Seriously though, you have been super helpful with the nubs on GBATemp these days. Answering the same questions over and over that they could easily answer themselves after reading your easy to follow, in depth step by step guide. After I figured out how to use the search guide effectively, I realize how many times the same questions have been asked.

I constantly check your guide for new updates and discoveries. Thanks for putting it together and updating it.
