For some reason my UNEEK DI setup decided to just sh4t itself. One day it was working fine, the next, it couldn't load games, it rarely loads the System Menu, sometimes loads the Homebrew Filter instead (which just freezes), and even if I CAN do anything, it just goes to a black screen and hangs. Last thing I attempted to do before I lost my patience was try to access the options, and all I got was a black screen with the annoying Wii music playing. I can't figure out what the hell is wrong with it. I've tried deleting the diconfig.bin, reinstalling the UNEEK DI files, etc, etc, short of wiping the drive and starting all over again. All this hassle just to play Guitar Hero DLC.

get showmii wads and a new .wad file of your system menu and install the wad to your emu nand with showmii wads

it has helped me before

Hmmm... ok, I'll try that then. Hopefully that works.

Ah ha.... Seems that the System Menu now loads with a higher success rate now, but still no JoYflow. Damn it.

Nope, scratch that. Still having about the same luck loading the System Menu. Pain in the arse!!!

Are there any video guides for this? I'm usually good at following directions, but doing this has left me with a perma black screen until I delete all the files on my SD that this guide has created. My Wii is 4.2U. It has bootmii installed as boot2 and ios.

you can try my app

run it and then copy the contents of the CopyToSd folder to SDcard and or same with usb if using uneek

my app is in my sig

sneekycompiler

or use modmii (its easier than my app and you wont have to install any programs)

first try launch sneek without di

Alright, I'll let you know how it goes.

I did it without DI. I was prompted to go through the process where you first turn on your Wii (selecting time, date, country, etc). And then a black screen afterward. After the "Press A" screen, I am stuck at a black screen as well. It won't go to the system menu unless I unplug my Wii and take out the SD card.

You might take a look in the tutorial section to my poor man's sd backup loader.
It describes the startup of a modmii created nand in detail. Specially, the long wait time at first bootup is important to be aware off.
If you interrupted the wii during that proces, you better copy the modmii nand folders over again to your wii. It won't recover
from the situation. Besides the di being different, everything else is pretty much identical to the install of a normal sneek setup.

My setup will even boot without a harddisk or compatible harddisk connected. I am unsure about the normal sneek + di about that.

In that case, I would assume that your harddisk has compatibility issues with the normal sneek di module.

Is your intention only to use it for dios mios lite poc, or would you like to use it for wii backups on the harddisk as well?

In case 1, I could try to make a version that ignores the harddisk and still works with dml.
In case 2, you will need to try another harddisk or usb memory stick.

I asume sneek without di works as well?

harddisk? i'm disconnected hdd (sneek+di)

sneek work without problem

This could be the problem. The sneek di module searches for it's wii game backups on the harddisk.
As it can't find it, it probably won't function properly.
In my poor man's sd backup laucher, I removed the harddisk check so that it could work without one.

thanks , with hdd sneek+di work and your di module is good

hello, is it possible to make a cleanrip mod, that cleanrip save the extracted data (like discex) to the usb instead of creating an ISO file?

i think this was a very useful tool for an easier way to get the game in the discex format on the usb drive.

this is an idea and it would be a great tool for every sneek/uneek beginner.
i dont have any problems to use discex with windows, its okay for me

EDIT: I think its a possible way to inspire new users for SNEEK/UNEEK.

no it is not possible without CIOS 254 for bootmii
this is what i want to do, i want to set up my sneek as close to "system" as possible. then work backwards to see if my ecc can be fixed.
