probably with a savegame manager from usb:/apps ??
First i thought savegames would be in nand dump and would show up in sneek, but all i see are savegames from the real nand.
tried savegame manager you need IOS249 for it to work properly and can't get any cIOS to work on sneek tried quite a few had a little success with bluedump installing a few saves made from real nand

I'm using sd nand as there's no uneek_di or I'd be using that

you can edit the source and compile yourself and get sd card access for HBC and apps

the easiest way to install the HBC is to install from wad created from your real nand(don't get scam screen all the time)

loadmii works well but not all apps work with it HBC has better compatibility for apps(wiixplorer, yawm, MMM, Atd mod6b, homebrew browser, dopmii, bluedump)

I believe you are talking about the item "SD cards do not work for Wii applications" at SNEEK FAQ : http://code.google.com/p/sneek/wiki/FAQ

I've compiled SNEEK under linux, plenty or warnings but no fatals, but the built boot2.bin (neither of the SD or USB) doesn't work, display a fancy screen with lines.

Is the build picky on versions of devkitARM or devkitPPC ? .. if so which one should I use ?
I've tried with 00000001.app and 0000000e.app that the 1b4 installer fetches, should I be using IOS80 ones ? (still with SM 4.2E, since I've followed ChokeD's process for a making a virgin nand)

nope I'm talking about when you go to the Wii saves in data management and click on sd at the top it usually says there is no sd card inserted and the little sd card on the main system menu page is greyed out I have got it to see the sd card is inserted but something else need to be changed in ES.c I think

@tcdiem I use IOS70 0000000e.app and IOS60 00000001.app could never get IOS80 .app file to boot a nand had sneek_sd boot once on 4.3E but then wouldn't boot again have had more success with sneek_di and already have games on a dedicated sneek/uneek drive

the IOS exploits from the HackMii installer don't work on SNEEK.

Is that true only for newer revisions of SNEEK? I have run the HackMii installer and installed HBC 1.0.6 successfully multiple times on SNEEK NANDs. I don't remember the highest revision of SNEEK that I did this on, but it definitely worked. I started the HackMii installer from a forwarder channel on the SNEEK NAND. It was very picky about the SD card, but once I found one that worked I did it multiple times.
did you use sd nand or usb nand for that?
SD

I can't get the latest sneek installer v0.1b4 (i think), to compile anything that works! It passes the gui installer's check and everything. And I've tried it with a 4.2U emu nand I KNOW works, and DeadlyFoez has confirmed this on his sneek setup (which works using older sneek build's)

FYI, I've also tried using IOSKPATCH.EXE and ELFINS.EXE (by crediar) to build sneek, and they too pass the gui's checks, but also fail

In the case of r102 compiled by myself, SNEEK+DI can work properly, including the opening SNEEK DI menu in my 4.2J NAND.
However, in the case of r106, SNEEK+DI cannot work in my 4.2J NAND.
Then in the case of r106, SNEEK+DI can work in my 4.3J NAND except the opening of SNEEK DI menu.

I don't know these differences of the response between the SM of NAND.
I think that I can open SNEEK DI menu in my 4.3J NAND, if I can add the statement for SM v512 (4.3J) in SMenu.c.

I appreciate anyone that advises these problems.

anyone want to do a setting.txt swap wouldn't mind trying U or J on my PAL Wii got an old setting.txt off a wii that had a main board failure but had made a nand dump before it went !POP! or if anyone has a setting.txt from a totally bricked wii from J region could you pm me a link as have got a U setting.txt

Files created in the c:\sneek folder
boot2_di.bin = sdcard as nand (with DI module)(NO DVD DRIVE SUPPORT)
boot2_sd.bin = sdcard as nand (no DI)(DVD DRIVE SUPPORT)
boot2_usb.bin = USB as nand (no DI)
di.bin = (usb module)

I did these steps, but not sure what to do with those bin.

Do i rename 1 of them to boot2.bin, or place 1 of them in de root next to the existing boot2.bin?
i.e.:
sd\boot2.bin + boot2_sd.bin + di.bin

or rename boot2_sd.bin to boot2.bin + di.bin

I want to use USB Loader (have D3-2 dvd drive) and use sd nand.
Or can you use usb nand + usb loader?

you can't use any usb loader at the moment a cIOS doesn't work well with sneek at the moment you can use sneek_di but you need to extract the games to a fat 32 partition with 32k clusters read more on the OP

Sorry, i just read on the first page what to do with them.

yes, i read that bit about 32k clusters.
So a ntfs partition will not work in sneek?
I assumed that when fat32 works, ntfs would also work, because ntfs works perfect with the real wii.
I also read that rev18 works.

You are wrong (in every case).

You can't compare USBLoaders with SNEEK, they are different, they work different, and that's also why NTFS won't work for SNEEK. And don't hope that it will be supported, since there's no need, and it's probably too much work, if it's even possible (as far as I can remember, I think I even read somewhere that SNEEK would only work with FAT because the way it's designed/restrictions, but I may be totally wrong on this, so don't quote me on that.).

Working sneek_di R106 4.3E nand and 4.2U nand have run games from hard drive on both nands

can you use ARC on sneek??? just to get a J nand to see if the offsets and menu work and you can launch a game using di module

I was just playing around, and it would be usefull.
If you look in the future, there will be games that would need higher IOS versions, that you might not want to install on real nand.

Then it would be very usefull if you could test it in sneek.
I can't use sneek_di (no gc controller)

@ longtom1:
I could try to run ARC and see what happens, OK
tongue.gif

but gameplay i cannot test

you can use sneek_di you can use the 1 button on the wiimote to bring the menu up and press B for region selection and patches

ARC works like a charm to change the setting.txt but use dopmii to install the system menu. went from 4,2U to 4.2J and I can confirm the di menu doesn't work for J nand worked before region change and I did change the region in the di menu

ARC started of fine, but could not find ios on SD (they were on SD and USB), so i downloaded, this worked until ios60, error: failed to create tmp
Then it went back to system menu, which was in japanese language.
opened Wii Mnu settings, but opera popped up, could only go back with home button.
HBC worked fine, started ATDmodv6 and deleted some gamesaves.

Changed all back again to region Europe, dutch etc. without problems in ARC.

hmmm, i tried to create sneek_di with crediars 1.04 installer, it aborts because 0000E.app is not the correct file size???

v1.03 did not give that error and sneek works, but sneek_di didn't.
Do i need another version for sneek_di ?

I did compile with devkitarm r24 and sneekr106

if u are using the 0000000e.app from his b3 installer, that's the wrong 0000000e.app for the b4 installer (b3 grabs the file from IOS70, b4 grabs it from IOS80).

so make sure u use the installer to re-download the new 0000000e.app to avoid that error msg (note that using the b4 installer, sneek will probably not load anyways, but u should at least be able to build it)

by pressing 1 on the wiimote, do u access the same menu described below (quote from first post). I just want to know if a gamecube controller is truly required to access the game menu

QUOTEA GC controller needs to be plugged into the 1st port.
Once the system menu has loaded,
press start on the GC controller to access the game selection menu.
Use the d-pad to scroll through the games and press A to select the game.
Press start again to return to the system menu.

Did you include the SM Hacks for 4.2J in SMenu.c. If not you can't open the menu:

CODEcase 480:
{
ÂÂÂÂ*(u32*)0x0137D09C = 0x4800001C;
ÂÂÂÂ*(u32*)0x0137D8F0 = 0x60000000;

ÂÂÂÂFBSizeÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ= 304*480*4;

ÂÂÂÂreturn 1;ÂÂÂÂ
} break;
