Gaming smudges are the D-Pad

I noticed I have smudges around my D-Pad on my DS Lite
I never eat food while playing my DS how can I get rid of this?

I had the same problem. Except it was more prominent with my DSi. I don't know how to get rid of it. I tried cleaning it carefully, but no luck. I never play with greasy fingers, either. But to avoid it, don't put so much pressure on the D-pad. That way your fingers won't make contact with the base of the D-pad.

I always put pressure on the D-Pad
plus I am a Snaker on Mario Kart lol

You rub alcohol on your skin to dry your skin out and hurt your skin? Most people would enjoy healthy skin....

You rub alcohol on your skin to dry your skin out and hurt your skin? Most people would enjoy healthy skin....

Or you could rub the DS with alcohol to get it clean.

A microfiber cloth with a bit of water could work.

It's not actually something deposited onto the DS that you can clean off. It's friction from your fingers wearing away at the finish around the dpad when you push it. You will probably notice the same thing on your keyboard, and mouse, the areas where your fingers touch most often are more smooth then other areas.
