Hacking SMG2 update

Hello everyone, i've just unpacked my bew shiny supermario galaxy 2 and when i put the disc in it asks me to update my console, is it safe to run the update or is it better to install missing files manually? and eventually does anyone have a tutorial about it?

Well it may update you to 4.3, which blocks Homebrew. Best bet is to use the "Block Disc Updates" hack in Priiloader.

u should use the block updates system menu hack

but I'm fairly certain there are currently ZERO discs with the 4.3 update on them... so any 'damage' a DISC update does to your wii is reversible

Super mario galaxy 2 comes with 4.2 update so just use Priiloader to block it and install IOS56-64-v5405 if you can't play it even after using Priiloader to block it.

not from scratch (u will still have cIOS250 and some other cIOSs), but close enough

rehacking a wii is easy though, even 4.2 Wii's

either way, if u do the update or not, if u use the download wizard feature of NUS Auto Downloader, it will solve your problem
