Gaming Smash Ultimate & Amiibo

Lots of questions for early players regarding amiibo.

Do amiibo do anything in Ultimate besides fight in the standard multiplayer mode like they did before?

Do they carry over training and/or custom abilities they learned in Smash 4? Do they carry over treasure they earned and haven't cashed in in Smash 4?

Do they earn treasure when fighting again?
