Hacking Smash modding help

I was wondering, there are 2 (sometimes 4) download's for Smash mods and modpacks. They are Unpacked And Packed. Which do I get? Cause I don't want to download both and waste precious storage on my PC (I usually forget about old downloads lol), so plz can someone tell me.

do you have smashexplorer? when yes then unpacked when no then packed

Ok thx im getting smash explorer now becuase i was going to mess around with the files using it
