Any chance for a fully working Young Link (saw the Wii U mod on YouTube) - with the fire arrows though? And without the wind waker affects and sub-weapons (bow boomerang, etc)? I love how they did the voice for him.

Also want the oot adult Link skin and voice

i dont know if we can do it without the effects but if we do texture swaps we might be able to make it look more like young links weapon set, that and we also need the dump of his model

USA little mac

ima put the tutorial to be a little more explanitory for ya (provided it is exactly the same as the video miguel has posted)

step1: download 3dsmax http://www.autodesk.com/products/3ds-max/overview just say your a student and you get 3 years for free

step2: rip a model from a game the same way you ripped your models for sm4sh 3ds or just download it from model-resource https://www.models-resource.com/

step3: open and rig the model using 3dsmax (idk how to do this but there are tutorials)

step4: when your done with the model drag and drop CSVExport.ms on 3dsmax and hit save on the next window that appears (it'll save it as dope.csv)

step5: (provided its the same as the video miguel posted) load your textures for the model in paint.net or any paint program that can save the file as a .dds and save them as .dds

step6: another window should appear for saving the .dds with specific settings, make sure these settings are as followed DXT5(interpolated alpha) Cluster fit, generate mipmaps

step7: make sure all the textures that are saved as .dds are in the same directory as the scripts and the dope.csv file

step8: open command prompt by holding shift and right clicking on the window(not the scripts or dope.csv) and click open command prompt here

step9: in command prompt (which is the box that should appear after you do step7) type the following mbnMaker20XX_Bone.py dope.csv it should make both the mbn file and bch file (if its the same as the tutorial)

step10: test the files by putting them in the appropriate directory on your sdcard like so SD:/saltysd/smash/model/fighter/insert fighter name here/body/c00/normal.mbn and normal.bch

does this help?
I always sucked at rigging I tried to rig for brawl and it crashed

Been watching an hour tutorial on creating model import for Smash 4. But yet, I still got errors.

@masterspike52 I noticed that you need both the h0x and c0x to make it work. I tried deleting the h00 of Ganondorf(smb123's import) and it shows up as normal Ganon in the pause screen.
thats cuz h00 is the pause ganon

th
SMB said to follow a Wii U tutorial and you should be fine, just sub in 3DS specific files instead of Wii U specific files
there is like no wii tutorials I cant find any

woah I am confused, what is this thing about 3ds model edits I am seeing?
Model Imports is now a thing for Smash 3DS. The first one is N64 Ganondorf.
But the guide is too complex and confused at the same time. There's no option to import models from Smash 3DS to 3DSMax which is impossible to obtain a model's bone and there is no clear tutorial of it yet.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I give up on Smash 64 Kirby since the models aren't separated.
So, I decided to use Mario 64 models and Dr. Mario's Bones(that I got from Model Resource) to try it out.

I've gotten pretty far with rigging but haven't gotten it to work in game yet.

To get the skeleton into 3DS Max, you can export a character's model to a DAE file with Ohana3DS (I'm using SMB's custom build). From there, you can import it into 3DS Max and do all your rigging.

The problem I've had is exporting it into the game. Pretty sure both my scale and orientation is wrong which causes errors. However, I don't know if that's just settings on my end or not since I haven't even seen anyone get to the export step of a model rig.
