Hardware Sleep Mode problem

In the past two days my 3DS's sleep mode started to act weird. When I open it, it takes about 3/4 seconds to wake up, the 3D led goes off and then on, and if I am in the home menu the animation of the app restarts. Also it disconnects from Internet while it's on sleep mode, and I'm not getting any streetpasses from relay stations, nor spotpass notifications. Internet while on is normal.

It's an hardware fault or am I missing something (since it worked well this past 3 years). Yes, the SpotPass settings are on.

(About the time coming back and the animations, I think it's normal. Also mine is a XL so I don't have a LED for the 3D effect.)

Here in Italy I never saw something like that agreement, it all worked fine until last week. I'll check next time I pass by.
But it should be a different peoblem because I don't recieve SpotPass notifications at all. classic StreetPass is fine.
