First time using the card (and first week with the 3DS). I formatted with two different programs to see if the card was the issue (FAT32, 64 clusters, not quick). Downloaded latest firmware, put SD card in card, plugged card in, when it finished flashing then put gamelist file in and a rom (tried leaving the firmware file, deleting the firmware file). I go to the main 3DS screen and there's a blank square on the first column, second row. Help? I'm tech savvy, this should have worked :\ (i.e. you can skip steps with me, don't have to break it all down). Thanks!

First of all the new firmware doesn't need the gamelist, when you insert the card first time it will generate a settings.txt files, do you have that file already?

Sometimes when I add a new game to the card I have to put the flash card twice, the first time the icon is blank and the second time the flash card show the game, it worth mention that modified roms can't run on sky3ds+, they need to be clean dump.

Another think to check is the color pattern when you insert the flash card, this will give you best idea what's going on.

Tell us whats going on with led on the card when you insert it into console. Also check that your game is from the same region as your console.

sky3ds still works with the latest firmware that im aware of.... is that what youre on

Led flashes green once. Both ds and rom are us. Per official website they do support current firmware.

I reinserted rhe card a bunch of times. Console on, console off, insert then turn on, insert turn on and off, etc.

Check your .sav and .cfg files on microsd card. If they have 0 bytes size delete them and try to boot sky3ds again. If it won't boot and will create 0 bytes files again delete that game and try with another game.

What no one has asked here yet is surprising. Could you tell us the brand of SD card? From my experience, I used 3 different SD Cards and found the Samsung EVO Micro SD works flawless.

You need a Micro SD card with high read speed, certify yourself which format them on FAT32 64 clusters or 32clusters.
It should fixed that.
