Hrm... now this is interesting. I have OR/AS/X/Y on my Sky3DS in the first four slots. I plug them into Powersaves and can backup/use codes no problems (PKHeX injection work as well). But the moment I try to use it on any other game (even ones I have legit carts for) and PS just goes bonkers. Blinking on/off "Game not supported" prompt. Even checked their listing of supported games. Some allow me to backup, but no codes from server. I think Z-LBW does but everything else simply blinks out.
Why would PS check everything BUT OR/AS/X/Y???
Or is it possible when I restored my AS savedata with PS to the Sky3DS copy it didn't just corrupt the save data but transferred IDs?

I didn't know savedata could do that?
Anyone got any clue as to why this is happening?
I thought since AS/OR/X/Y worked that the rest would, but I actually have gone through my 31 list of games and it seems -ONLY- those four work. The rest will need header ID and Chip ID from a Memory Dump. I just don't want to test those waters until I have figured out how to memory dump properly.
Or maybe Sky3DS DiskWriter's template has something to do with it? Currently using, let's see, what is it... template0310. The most current I would assume...
Sadly, I'm still on 9.5.0-22U and PKHeX injection works so I'm not updating until either Gateway works again, or PKHeX finds another solution.
Another thing I noticed is Smash Bros. will block web browser, but Pokemon ORAS doesn't. I'm assuming the latest update fixes that.
How puzzling...
Oh, does the OOT injection work on old 3DSXL running 9.5.0-22U?? There might be hope yet... would really like to dump roms. N3DS runs 9.5+ so why not old 3DS on 9.5? Hardware differences? OOT calling up cores/memory access that old 3DS doesn't have?
What about using Sky3DS saves with PKHeX? Any chance that will ever happen? Then I could just use my Sky3DS to inject/trade/bank and finally move on and update firmware.
Has anyone thought of reverse engineering Powersaves software and writing new code? It obviously runs off software and uses servers for transfer. My PC simply does not read the device connected until software calls it up. And even then, It won't appear in manager. I feel the same way about the power port on the 3DSXL. I know most of the cords are for power only, but has anyone tried a full USB data line? Or is that port -JUST- to feed?
I would assume in factory they inject through it, instead of using SD cards. Then again, they would also have the encryption and software uninstalled until after assembly.
And yeah, I'm aware both the Gateway and Sky3ds can take more than 32GB SD cards. Gateway makes sense, but Sky3DS not so much anymore. I just thought you weren't using the red cart. Most people just run off of SD which is then limited to the 3DSXL max of 32GB. BTW, micro and mini work. You just need the adapter. Another thing I wasn't too impressed with about the N3DS. They dropped to micro and they also put the cart slot on the front.

wtf?
Nor did they add bluetooth for headsets and speakers. That one really boggles my mind. Upgrade everything else but cheap out on a BT wifi chip. Great... Heck, my lappy has a broadband wifi bluetooth microPCIE card. Not small enough for you Nintendon't? Or just too cheap to care?
Well, I'm out for the night. Pulling late night guard duty and giving lots of love to my new Sky3DS.
Hopefully things pick up. Oh, and folks, stop buying $80.oo OOT carts on eBay. You're just encouraging them. Go get a Sky3DS and it will be more useful than a $80 POS you don't need. And that's what I think of Sky3DS. It seems like one was created for the other, and there still might be hope. GW has done it before, wouldn't be shocked if they do it again.
As for me, I'm kind of fed up with chasing my tail.
Maybe Sky3DS will eventually evolve into a DS2 environment, but for now... I'm just happy playing games.
