I don't know that this is possible with b9s in the form I released it, but I want it to be possible and it should be in the near future.

just dump the bootrom yourself you missed some stuff, re is over. just dump it, extract ypur keys, and be happy.

Having trouble getting boot9strap installed.
I've got two 2DS consoles. Both are having same issue.

I'm following 3ds.guide.

I get to the "Launching SafeB9SInstaller" section.
I launch UDSploit, and hit start to exit. All ok.
I launch safehax and get a black screen or PM INIT FAILED

I've tried r19 of safehax, with no difference.

Any advice?

What firmware are you on? Also, some exploits don't work the first time every time. According to the guide just power down, power up and try again until it works.

Retrying just safehax just gets the PM INIT FAILED error over and over.
Retrying both gives the blackscreen.
Oh, and 11.etcetc...36


Edit, and I've already got a9lh installed....don't know if I need to remove something from the SDcard prior to attempting?

You have to run udsploit first before you run SafeHax. The guide says it can take several tries. Keep trying and every time it freezes or fails force the console to power down, boot up and try again.

You are following the wrong guide. use the updating to boot9strap guide instead. You should be running boot9strap installer from Luma chainloader.

So, there are other things other than that and NTRboothax?
Some special info for example...also, I've read somewhere that some keys were missing :/

Now that Sighax is a thing, can't we create our own LocalFriendCodeSeed_B? This would greatly alleviate the ban issue.

From what I recall it's console specific so it's not really possible to generate more than one

And SciresM used to only be known for his work on Pokemon. The recent devs came out of nowhere and outshine a lot of other devs (except for maybe derrek, plutoo, and smea who found the bugs)

yeez, @Kaphotics and Micheal (@SciresM ) are like the best thing that ever happened to Pokémon Players (like me #hardcore), PKHeX and pk3DS are like wow, best tools ever, but yeah thats nothing to talk about here, I want to try to have this thread as much on topic as possible

That is a pretty good idea considering the amount of exploits that were discussed here.
