you don't need a hardmod, you need nand r/w (dsiwarehax, hardmod, a9lh, or on a firmware below 11.3)

Yeah, Dsiwarehax can basically do the Same thing as a hardmod by backing up the encrypted NAND, and a9lh already has NAND r/w, so it should be pretty easy to install from there. Firmwares below 11.3 already have an arm9 exploit which gives NAND r/w as well

the console is nearing end of life and with the switch vulnerabilities already i doubt they would spend the money, they are in financial shit as it is. worse case they release a new patch and deem the unit end of life. which sucks cuz then they shut down game servers...

So wait. When is the end of life for the 3ds system? And I see. Hopefully we can have a year or two the most for the 3ds console before it is the end of life. In terms of game servers I play MK7 a lot. And I will play until it shuts down. I don't wanna play MK8 or get a switch and have to pay for online services. Too pricey for me and not worth my money or time.

I understand you, still doesn't mean I can play games offline or whatever. Lol. I personally don't want a Switch, 3ds discontinued or not. Case closed.

I have 3 3ds and 2 2ds (3 a9lh and 2 11.3 awaiting sighax)(one bricked, doesn't count) and one switch. I love my 3ds. The library is so extensive its great, plus with a dstwo card and cfw the shits and giggles. I have smash fights with friends when they come over lol. The wii u is crap had to get rid of it. (P.S. no corneria and id be down to fight anyone in smash)

It's all related to dumping it. She seems to run into some problem every single stream. Either it's that hard or she's just unlucky. Most of the streams are trying to fix something so she can get to the point of being able to dump the bootrom.

Ahh. Ok. All related to dumping the bootrom. Got it. Hopefully she can finally get this to work. I also don't wanna sound pessimistic or anything, but if Hedgeberg isn't able to dump the bootrom since it is so hard, then are we SOL? (Shit Out of Luck) Or will someone else step in? I just hate getting my hopes too high then have it all crumble down when things won't work. Like the possibility of Hedgeberg dumping the protected bootrom9.

We know it's been done before. Derek has done it. There may be other people who have done it in private or have access to it privately. It is doable. Don't know if anyone will be public about it. I guess only time will tell. Doesn't seem like she'll give up anytime soon.

$25 a year isn't that pricey, and by having a pay to play model Nintendo can offer better online services.
