Could we just stop spreading rumors? Seriously, fork of Decrypt9 to dump Boot9? At least insert a link with some strong valid proof justifying your point. Just telling people things though comments won't help and will spread chunks of misinformation. Not to offend anyone here, but just saying, 'cause I've had personal experience spreading rumours and then getting spammed like shit.

It's not rumors.. you misunderstood, I never said Boot9, I said Prot9. What we're trying to dump is the UNPROTECTED part of the bootrom, we can get the protected part dumped.

But what's the use when it's still in the works? It's a part of achieving a Boot9 Dump so why not just leave it to the person who's already working on it? Why are you complicating things? Remember: It's done when it's done™.

You know it's better when a community works as a whole than just individually.. if so that privately.

Okay. I agree on that one, yet, there's one problem - if you do post something on GBAtemp with a positive motive of helping someone working hard on a project, you're just inviting trouble. And I say that because there are going to be lot of controversies and nobody's gonna believe you that easily without good enough proof. All I'm saying is help the person, but don't help in a way which can hinder the progress of the project - just help the person in finishing it (gather more audience if you'd like to), and post something after things go well. Just don't start posting using the excuse of helping as a community.

Using a modified version of Decrypt9

Which is private for reasons

umm, afaik the bootrom protects itself after it did its thing, by turning the pins its connected to off. so no software can bypass this afaik,
the only way to dump the bootrom is derreks vector-glitch-hack which hedge and greg are using

Just what I thought. I recall reading that in the OP. Boot ROMs are indeed protected. All we're trying is to use a glitch and exploit it.
