It depends on your skill with such games. I'm an avid Megaman player, and yet I've died a lot going through my first time (I died on the first boss even after watching a YT video of that first level). The first level is meant to be like a tutorial stage but without the bulk that tutorials throw in. It's quite balanced, and there are feats/achievements if you're wanting more of a challenge, as well as a NG+ after you beat it.

Hmm. Decided to give it a try. Not stupid easy so far...but after beating the Black Knight and the King Knight, it does seem a tad easy. The King Knight was a joke compared to the Black Knight. King just sat there and let you beat the **** out of his face. Died before he really even attacked me.

well the Temp has done a 180. I remember many of these same people calling it "Shovelware Knight" and a waist of Kickstarter

Just goes to show you I guess

I actually used King Knight for one of the feats because he was the easiest to deal with. I think Plague Knight will be the boss that'll demonstrate a bit more difficulty (at least compared to King Knight).

If you haven't caught on already, most slabs of brick that are 2x bigger than the shovel knight are often hidden break away walls, even if there are no shown hints.
The most cleverly hidden artifact is in the flying ship stage.

Really? I remember nothing but positivity or, at worst, ambivalence here.

I want to get it for the Wii U.... if it just was released in fucking Europe!! Right now the ONLY version available is the Steam one... and I've got enough games on Steam at the moment. I much rather want to support the Wii U as a platform :3

Got it on the Wii U, and I love it. Just finished the game a second time on Normal to complete 6 feats at once.

Beat the game with no deaths, no pitfall deaths, no gold spent, no relics, break all possible checkpoints, and beat within 1h 30m. All feats I have left are beat it on NG+, and get all the music sheets.

really?? wow you're a beast!
