So a couple of days ago I got myself a switch with sx pro dongle and updated from 3.1 to 6.2 with exfat support using choidojuir nx with no problems.
I got an 200gb SanDisk ultra card with exfat on it at the moment, but read somewhere that exfat might be prone to file corruption?
I'm only really planning on playing .xci files with some .nsp dlc and updates.
Are there many problems with exfat, and would it be smart to start over with Fat32 before I fill my card? Only got like 20gb on it right now so no biggie.

I've been using exfat since june 2018 and have no issues with it up to this day and I've also been using retroarch a lot on it. But still it's your call.

I formatted my sd card to fat32 for the same reason. I notice no difference since i install games through usb and ... that's all lol. I used exfat for like 6 months and all was still working normally

Have been using it since 2.1.0 and, well, no problems yet. But I know that there is a higher chance of corruption with exFAT (especially if you do stuff wrong, like everyone said, wrongly exiting homebrews and such).

You don't need to. Most problems come when you exit a lot of homebrew in the wrong way.. specially corruption king, RetroArch.

hey there, so what is the correct way to exit homebrew to prevent corruption ? i am using exfat too :)
Thank you

Use the EXIT option in each homebrew, for example, RetroArch has an option called Quit RetroArch, use that.

Other Homebrew uses the + button to exit... Just read the screen...

Never exit a Homebrew by pushing the home button. Ever.

but can i exit homebrew menu by presing home button right?

Corruption can happen either way. If you use the built in exit functions of apps you should be fine though. One thing worth noting is corruption can happen on either. format I've always been on FAT32 and corrupted my card by improperly exiting homebrew. It's just more likely to occur if you have exFAT
Also if you back up everything there's really no cause for concern. Just a bit of a hassle to reinstall things

i am sure i accidently pressed homebrew button while in homebrew software, but not closed application from there. is that safe ?
or should i avoid that to happen too ?

You should avoid that. Most homebrew apps completely exit to the menu though either way. Using the apps built in was is much safer.
