No matter what I try for settings based on guides and existing popular searches or even this YT video - - I cannot get a quality visual display for PSP games. I was surprised there was even a solution to this problem - See screenshots. I see a bunch of 'dots' in the background when playing PSP or PS1. I'm trying to record gameplay footage & it just looks horrendous.

I've messed with 480, 720 & 1080i within the Vita Settings. Sharpscale itself by default should be set to correct options & according to guides is at Integer, 4:3, Point & Off. I changed 4:3 to 16:9 based on some searching but haven't got to PS1 testing yet. Adrenaline seems to not even want to load if I change it from Point to Bilinear, then my PSTV wouldn't even shutdown properly & was greeted by a screen on reboot to restart or rebuild database. Then there's the Adrenaline settings itself *sigh* The best image I get is from Advanced AA & Smooth On and it still looks bad - See screenshots

Anyone can help or tell me what the correct settings for PSP & PS1 should be in all 3 (Vita Settings, Sharpscale & Adrenaline). I'm not sure it matters if I adjust my own HDTVs settings either but I got a 55" TCL smart TV.

It looks to me as though the game is using dithering (a pattern of two colours to simulate a colour in between). You wouldn't see this on a CRT, but with modern screens you can see the individual pixels.

You could try turning down the sharpness on your TV or not using Sharpscale. Anything that blurs the pixels enough should help with this.
