Hacking serial LU316 with d2c chip

I will try to take the picture and post for you...so far I had given to 2 professional installer and they all give up....they had try all the released chip but no used....

D2C and cut legs from the IC are two separate issues. The cut legs are on the same D2B chips they've been using for quite a while. D2C is a whole different chipset on the drive. Any of those will be printed on the chip, to find out which you have.

I hope this D2C business isn't true. Little brother picked up LU317 yesterday and I have the triwing at my home, worst we were thinking was cut legs.... :x

Look carefully, the label on the chip says "D2B." Also unless you produce pictures of your Wii having a D2C chip. Stop posting crap about D2C chips being moddable.

Cut off legs D2B =/= D2C

i got a Lu3164, what's your number after 316? is it d2c or just legless?

The way my installer describe to me is that I had the new Panasonic GC2-D2B chipset (could be the new D2C chip) with the Three of the legs on the chip are cut off.
They had succesful installed but it will not boot up at all. He had done many of the cut-off leg prior to mine and all work perfectly.

I think I trust my installer because he had a very good reputation around the city.

There have been a few reports of D2B chips that haven't worked for some reason. Very few.

But you answered your own question, if the chipset is GC2-D2B, then it's not a D2C, it's a D2B... (1=1)

Even a good installer can get caught by these cut legs models, I would expect. It doesn't take much...

just picked up a lu317 from best buy. going to open up now to see what it has. I'm guessing cut legs d2b. wonder what the difference between 317 and 517 are. I was real excited seeing 317, hoping it wasn't cut

That makes sense. LU517x consoles don't get sold in the USA I don't think, it's all LU31xx here.

My first wii was from walmart. Purhcased at the end of june. It was lu517 with cut legs.
