Last year, an interesting game named Nanashi no Game (The Game With No Name) was released for the DS. It was Square Enix's first attempt at survival horror and involved a cursed 8-bit RPG-like game. The game was said to kill those who play it within one week. What resulted in this was an interesting mix of horror and nostalgia. It had frights and style. It also had some impressive 3D work. It was foremost, a first person stealth and run game where all you can do is collect hidden items and dodge restless ghosts. Creepy, but the controls were pretty bad. The parts where you enter your "DS" and play the 8-bit RPG were especially neat. The game would have intentional graphical glitches and demonic sound. And it has one of the creepiest and most awesome 8-bit theme I've heard!

Well, this game never made it to the US sadly (yet anyways). But already, Square Enix has launched a teaser site that seems to be hinting at a sequel.

Apparently we'll have to wait a week for the unveiling.
