Hardware Sensor Bar for PC?

Quick explanation: Sensor bar for Dolphin.

Details: Can't spare a sensor bar, can't use candles or anything flammable. Have IR receiver for Windows Media Center remote.
 
I think in order to get IR radiations, u need something to burn or become really hot but that the heat should not go very far. Maybe try using two bulbs not the conserving ones but the table lamps or the mini versions that when u touch the bulb it will be very hot.
 
Laser radiation and infrared radiation are two different things. The closest thing to a household item that I could think of without just burning candles would be to tear down a few TV remotes and run a current through the IR blasters so that they stay lit (use your phone camera to see if they're on or not).

I would honestly just recommend getting a Mayflash Dolphinbar if I were you
